THE RAMOS REPORT

Jason Ramos's web site Nitro Report

This week's Nitro was dominated by action so intense it couldn't be contained
within the confines of a ring.

The backstage precedent was set in the first hour by the Wolfpak, who waged an
all-out attack on the black-and-white dressing room. The red-and-black attack then
destroyed NWO Hollywood's limousine with a forklift and sledgehammers before
driving off to find Scott Hall (see match results). But there was much more
backstage violence to come. In the main event, Sting and Hart also took their fight
to the backstage area, in one of the most brutal battles ever televised (see match
results).

Match Results

Saturn d. Lizmark, Jr.
Still riding his Fall Brawl high, Saturn managed to ground the Mexican high-flyer
and deliver the Death Valley Driver for the pin.

The Cat d. Kaz Hayashi with Sonny Onoo
Miller gave Hayashi a chance to leave the ring, but it became apparent that Hayashi
didnt understand a word. The Cat gave Hayashi a thorough whooping and beat
him with the Fee Liner. Post-match, Onoo seemed interested in the 3-time World
Karate Champion.

Juventud Guerrera d. Jerry Flynn
Flynn overpowered the Cruiserweight, but couldnt keep him out of the air. Juvy
wowed the crowd with a brilliant aerial offensive and won with the Juvy Driver.

Wrath d. Villano IV
Once again, Wrath proved the Goldberg isn't the only invincible bull in WCW's
big man stable. Undefeated since his return, Wrath made quick work of the
Luchador and defeated him with the Meltdown.

No Contest: Damien vs. Hector Garza
The Luchadors exchanged momentum and aerials after the opening bell, but were
stopped cold by Eddie Guerrero. Guerrero told the Mexican stars that they were
being exploited by WCW and they needed to unite for more rights and pay. The
former TV Champ then unveiled the Latino World Order (LWO). Both Damien and
Garza accepted T-shirts and joined the pack.

Kidman d. Psychosis
Cruiserweight Title Match
Kidman and Psychosis delivered a breathtaking contest, with highlights including
a suicide guillotine leg drop to the outside. Psychosis dominated most of the bout,
but couldn't avoid Kidman's quick counters and champion resolve. After denying
an off-the-top hurracanrana attempt, Kidman delivered the Shooting Star Press for
the win.

Rick Steiner d. Brian Adams with Scott Steiner
Pre-match, Rick brought out Judy Bagwell to confront her son Marcus. The crowd
roared as Judy yelled at the Buffster and slapped him across the face. Scott
grabbed Judy's hand ferociously, causing Rick to attack his brother. While the
Steiners fought, Adams attacked the Dog-Faced Gremlin from behind and gained
an early advantage in their scheduled match. But Adams couldn't finish the job.
Rick absorbed a wicked amount of punishment before striking back with several
suplexes, lariats and his Steinerdog finisher.

Diamond Dallas Page d. Kanyon with Raven
Page and Kanyon employed their vast arsenals of moves in this bout, but the
momentum was decided by outside interference. After ejecting Kanyon from the
ring, Page was hit with a Diamond Cutter by Raven. Goldberg ran to the ring and
evened the odds, spearing and Jackhammering Raven, while Page finished off the
former Mortis with the Diamond Cutter. Post-match, Page and Goldberg went
nose-to-nose.

No Contest: Kevin Nash vs. Scott Hall
Not quite a match, but certainly a fight worth mentioning. After combing the
building and destroying the NWO limo earlier in the night, The Wolfpak hunted
down Hall at a local bar. The Outsider duo exchanged vicious blows and ended up
sparring in the establishment's bathroom. The match, however, was called on
account of regurgitation: during the physical debacle, Hall started throwing up in
the toilet.

Reid Flair d. Eric Bischoff
Although this also wasn't a "technical" match, Rick's youngest son, Reed,
certainly would have won on points. Arn Anderson brought out Reed to confront
the man who had tried to fire his father for attending his wrestling championships.
The Nature kid challenged the WCW President and downed him with several leg
takedowns. Bischoff tried to fight back, but was stopped by Arn.

No Contest: Sting vs. Bret Hart
US Title Match
The match ended quickly, due to a double count-out, but the action continued
backstage. Sting and the Hitman brawled through the hallway and, eventually,
ended up warring in the catering room. The best match of the night, both former
World Champs used chairs, tables and steel poles on each other, before Sting
managed to lock on the Scorpion Deathlock. Security broke up the brawl, and both
men limped away injured.

RAW Report

RAW IS WAR RESULTS

X-Pac started things off as he defended his European title against former champion D'Lo
Brown. The "Pride of Europe" was eager to regain his lost gold, but the DX member was
equally determined to retain the title. Unfortunately for 'Pac, Mark Henry was at ringside for
this match, and his outside interference eventually gave D'Lo the win following the 'Lo
Down! During the match, Chyna was again served with some sort of document, the delivery
of which seemed to please The World's Strongest Man.

The Headbangers then crashed the party, challenging the Insane Clown Posse to a
no-holds-barred fight in the ring. The wicked clowns never back down, so they leapt at the
chanceand were promptly beat down. Both Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J were left laying in
the ring by the former tag team champs, proving that it's not a good idea to ever throw down
with Federation superstars!

The program then cut to Mr. McMahon, who was planning on broadcasting a message from
his hospital room. Before the Federation owner could speak his mind, he received a rather
unusual visitor the deranged Mankind! The Boiler Room Dweller brought with him three
gifts for his ailing employer, a box of chocolates, a balloon-twisting clown and Mr. Socko! In
many ways, it appeared as if the antics of this duo were a source of more suffering for Mr.
McMahon than his injury from the previous week!

The lovely Sable was up next, as she was scheduled to provide color commentary for the next
matchup between Vader and Marvelous Marc Mero. Despite the enormous size differential,
Mero continued his winning ways, eventually putting away the mastodon with his Marvelocity.
After the match, the ever-present Jacqueline jumped Sable from behind, shearing off a lock of
the blond bombshell's hair!

The enigma known as Edge was then scheduled to compete against Owen Hart in a rematch
from Breakdown. This match never took place, as Hart made the announcement that he was
truly sorry for what he had done to Dan Severn! Hart was apparently still wracked with guilt
brought about by the injury, and said "I'm done, it's over" as cameras followed him out of the
arena!

Ken Shamrock then took on Kane in a bout between two of the most lethal competitors in the
Federation. The match came to an unexpected end when the Undertaker knocked his brother
off the top rope, leaving him open to a Shamrock superplex. The World's Most Dangerous
Man soon had another victory on his record, while the dissention between the twin demons
would manifest itself again later in the night.

Val Venis and Terri Runnels heated things up, as the adult film star took on Gangrel in singles
competition. The modern day goth warrior had his own accompaniment to the ring, Edge's
brother, Christian! Gangrel eventually lost this match via count out, as he was distracted by
the presence of his nemesis, Edge. Venis, while the winner of the match, had his own
problems as he was presented with a golden envelope after the contest had ended, signaling
that another Shattered Dreams Production was about to begin!

The recently reinstated Al Snow (with Head) then took on Jeff Jarrett in a bout between two
sound mat technicians. Though the match was hard fought, Snow eventually took the deuce
when Jarrett got DQ'ed when Commissioner Slaughter interfered! Snow's war against
Federation brass is apparently a long way from being settled.

The rivalry between DX and the Nation continued as Mark Henry was scheduled to take on the
Road Dog. Billy Gunn was still MIA, so the Dog was on his own on this night. Luckily, not all
of DX was absent, and the Road Dog was able to pin the World's Strongest Man after X-Pac's
intervention!

It then appeared as if Mr. McMahon finally had his opportunity to make his statement, but he
found himself assaulted by Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was cleverly disguised as a doctor! It
seems as if the Texas Rattlesnake will go to any length to make Mr. McMahon's life miserable!

The main event of the evening found The Rock taking on The Undertaker in a highly
anticipated battle. The arena was solidly behind "The People's Champ" on this night. Kane
came to ringside during the contest, whacking his brother with a steel chair. At one point, The
Undertaker was hit with the Rock Bottom, but the official was not in position to register the
three count. Eventually the Rock found himself on the receiving end of a tombstone
piledriver, giving the Dead Man another victory!
